Botanical model No.3
3 sleek black pedals with feather pistil
This 3D Embroidery Sculpture is part of my botanical model collection, drawing inspiration from the 19th-century scientific and educational models of Robert Brendel. It exploration of the delicate boundary between reality and imagination by exaggerating the form, playing with colors and patterns derived from an actual flower. Created meticulously with thread, fabric, and wire, each petal is hand-stitched with varying shades of thread to achieve a rich depth and texture. The wire framework provides structural support and shapes the intricate form. The sculpture rests on a hand-carved wooden base made from apple wood, thoughtfully sourced from our own backyard, which adds a meaningful and personal dimension to the piece
Demention: 13” x 2”
