Growing up in Japan, I was surrounded by an environment that fostered creativity, which naturally led me toward an artistic path. With a background in ceramics and 3D Fine Art, I’ve always been drawn to tactile mediums that allow for physical interaction and transformation. My exploration of fiber work has felt like a seamless extension of this journey—revealing a new depth within the traditional craft of embroidery.

Nature’s delicate creations—moths, butterflies, and plants—serve as constant inspiration. I am captivated by the paradox where beauty meets the eerie and even the grotesque, and by the fragility of life juxtaposed with its resilience.

Through my sculptures, I distort the scale of moths and butterflies or reimagine flowers with inventive designs to weave together elements of the natural world and my own imaginative interpretations. This blurring of the lines between authenticity and fantasy invites viewers to enter a space where both coexist. Nature evokes deeply personal emotions, and through my work, I aim to resonate with those connections or spark new reflections.
